To clear a level, the block must fall vertically into the square hole. Sliding across the hole while lying flat will not trigger the exit; you must stand the block straight up directly over the opening.

As you advance through the 33 levels, new floor tiles and interactive contraptions appear to complicate your path:

• Soft switches (round): Activated whenever any part of your block touches them, opening or closing linked bridges.
• Heavy switches (X-shaped): Require the block to stand fully upright on them to register enough pressure to activate.
• Orange tiles: Fragile platforms that cannot support the concentrated weight of a vertical block. You can roll across them horizontally, but standing upright will break the floor and drop you.
• Splitter switches: Divide your block into two independent one-unit cubes. You navigate each half separately and recombine them by bringing both cubes adjacent to one another.

Strategies and puzzle tips

Working backward from the target hole is often the fastest way to crack tough layouts. Identify the exact square and orientation your block must be in immediately before dropping into the exit, then reverse-engineer the path to that spot.

Keep track of level passcodes shown at the top of the screen. Bloxorz uses six-digit codes for every stage, allowing you to return to your exact progress later without starting from level one.
